Kick your philanthropic goals into high gear with our Boot Camp, a year-long focus on education and service with a new engagement opportunity every month. Get involved in one day events that will expand your mind and inspire your soul. Join in the fun and see how our investments make a difference in the lives of others!

On March 11, we will participate at "What Can I Do?: Civic Engagement Workshop" hosted by Delegate Ken Plum. See details and sign-up.

In Their Own Words: Educational Program

Formerly incarcerated women from Guest House shared their stories with 72 attendees on January 28 at this program co-sponsored by the Giving Circle of HOPE and the Reston-Herndon American Association of University Women.

Since the 1980s, the increase in nonviolent female offenders in the prison system has been dramatic with a significant portion of those crimes being drug-related. While the national figure for nonviolent offenders re-offending within two years is 70 percent, fewer than 10 percent of women who complete the full program at Guest House re-offend.

Guest House is the only such program in Northern Virginia and has received grant funding from the Giving Circle on seven occasions from 2008 to the present.
