Empty Bowls Fundraiser
Empty Bowls is the annual fundraising event hosted by The Giving Circle of HOPE to help fight hunger and food insecurity in our community. The funds raised benefit Food For Others, one of our nonprofit partners. From 2008 through 2015, a total revenue of $182,000 and close to 10,000 pounds of food have resulted from the Giving Circle of HOPE’s Empty Bowls fundraiser.
Over the years, the Giving Circle of HOPE has been involved in a number of service programs. Currently, we participate in three.
- Flashes of Hope
- Kids’ Club
- A Simple Gesture of Reston
We encourage new service programs and we volunteer as individuals with our nonprofit partners where our expertise and knowledge best match their needs.
