Giving Circle of HOPE mission statement.

Invitation to Together We Give.

Membership

Our 2018 membership drive is on! Won’t you join us in making a greater impact by investing collectively? Every dollar grants a better future for someone in our community. Look at what we’ve done together.
15 years. 140 grants. 59 nonprofits. 1 million.

Think how much greater our impact can be when members come together and renew their memberships and encourage others to join in collective giving. Giving away almost everything we collect every year is, in and of itself, an act of faith in the power of collective giving.

Be Part of the Grant Reviewers

" "Our 2018 Grant Cycle kicked off in May and we would love for Giving Circle of HOPE members to be a part of the Fall Grant Reviewers circle!

Are you a detail-oriented person who wants to work online from the convenience of your home? Then the Finance Sub-Committee may be just right for you. You can also volunteer for the Grants Sub-Committee for a more immersive experience. As a grant reviewer you will conduct an on-site visit and then present your findings at one of three review meetings. Sub-Committee members rate applicants–a critical component of the process–and those scores are then presented to the full membership for voting. Your work is THAT important.

Grants Requests

Since 2004 the Giving Circle of HOPE (GCH) has awarded 141 Project and Capacity Building Effort (CBE) grants to 59 local nonprofits selected, reviewed and voted on by its membership.

This year’s timetable:

  • Acceptance of grant requests ended July 31 at 5 p.m.
  • GCH’s leadership and finance specialists complete internal mission alignment/finance review and release applicant list August 23.
  • Grant Sub-Committee Member Orientation August 27.
  • Grant Sub-Committee review, on-site visits, presentation meetings, and final applicant rankings October 11.
  • Member review and voting completed by November 1.
  • Award announcements November 7.
